Everyday Black & White

I've been having fun just taking pictures at home of my kids playing.

None of these photos are staged.  I didn't even tell them I was taking their pictures.

And that's the way I like it.  I like to capture moments as they happen.  

I'm loving how the black and white photos create both high impact and simplicity.

My Family

I'm so grateful for my family

and the way they motivate me to better myself.

 I strive to be the wife 

and mother my family deserves.

We totally bribed the kids with homemade pumpkin bread for cooperating.

Post Picnic Park Playdate

Most kids put their shoes on when they go to the park.  

But this girl, well, she prefers being barefoot.

She is quite the adventurous two year old.

K is taking J out for a spin in her "space ship."

The view is amazing!

Picnics at the Park

Lately, we've had a lot of picnics after picking up K from kindergarten.  

Today, we headed west to this empty park.  

K helped unpack our meal.  

So did J.

J was super excited to eat this salad...

until K had a meltdown because she wanted the same salad!!!

K has had atleast one big meltdown every day since school started.

I don't blame her.  She's had a lot of changes: earlier wake up time, new school, new teacher, 

new friends, homework to complete.  Whew!

Back to School Boys 2015

 It's my favorite time of year... Back to School!!! 

B is starting his last year of elementary school... 5th grade.

 T is in 2nd grade and is excited to have Beck, a friend from church, in his class.

 This is the first year we've let our boys walk home from school together.  

 These brothers are super competitive with each other. 

 The boys are working hard to earn scooters.

 Best wishes to these sweet boys for the best school year yet.

 This family of 5 sure kept me on my toes during this photo shoot.  

The boys were excited about the location and we had a fun time exploring.

Caden, Brooklyn, Chloe

Meet Brooklyn, Chloe, and Caden.

(They were singing and acting out "The Itsy Bitsy Spider").

 Caden is the big brother.  

Here he was telling me all about ice fishing with his dad.

 Brooklyn is the middle child.

 I can so relate to being the middle kid.

 I love her enthusiasm

 and sense of style.

Chloe is sweet and spunky

just as a toddler should be.

They are so great and I loved watching them interact with each other.

You two are raising them right!
